The dcs (digital code scan) is a stand-alone electronic device designed for new fuel injected
North American vehicles (Ford, GM, Chrysler) with OBDII controls. The dcs was developed to
interface via the data bus directly to the vehicle computer. This product is suitable for most first
generation alternative fuel kits requiring an OBDII solution.
Benefits of the dcs
• The dcs monitors the intended fuel delivery of the Ford, GM, or Chrysler PCM during alternative fuel operation via the J1708 data bus and uses the O2 signal lines to prevent the PCM Fuel Trim from drifting.• The PCM will operate in full OBD2 compliance while on alternative fuel or gasoline. The dcs can monitor and remove any O2-based DTC's generated during alternative fuel operation on Ford and GM vehicles
